Millbrook High School senior Brittany Geraci is May’s artist of the month. Brittany plans to attend New Hampshire Institute of Art to continue her passion and follow her dream of becoming an art teacher. “I want to commit to the art field because art is what I love, and art is also a large part of who I am.”

Many things inspire Brittany to create art. Her art teachers, Mr. Spross and Mr. Blakely, share their innate passion for the arts through creative teaching assignments which encourage Brittany to work in a variety of mediums. Her Aunt Kathy, who helped her with her first painting at age 7, continues to be a source of inspiration every day. The infinite variety of the human mind amazes Brittany. She loves the fact that she can look at a leaf and choose to turn it into an elaborate painting or a unique photograph. And…as soon as she is finished…she can look again and create something entirely different.
