About Us

Mission

We are a community information center as well as an intellectual and cultural resource for residents of all ages in the Millbrook area. Through our programs and services, including a special collection of local history and an art gallery, we seek to broaden the awareness and understanding of arts and literature for all.

1901 – Founded by local citizens to serve community.
1904 – Chartered by New York State.
1908 – Building donated by Mrs. Richard Somers Hayes in memory of her husband.
1973 – Cary Wing added.
2002 – Current renovation.
